AVAILABILITY: A more detailed volunteer schedule will be provided upon receipt of this application.  Please indicate the dates and possible times you are available:

DUTIES: Assist in sales, collection, hospitality, and general support for festival staff.  Help with general set-up and/or breakdown and initial/post event inventory and registration. Production assistance may also be needed.  Please indicate if you have a particular area of interest.

All volunteers must agree to the SONSCREEN VOLUNTEER RELEASE OF LIABILITY.

Release and Indemnity (Adult or Minor) READ CAREFULLY BEFORE AGREEING In consideration of my or my child’s participation as a volunteer at SONscreen, scheduled to take place on June 26 through June 27 and July 1, 2010, in and around Atlanta, GA. I agree to assume all risks incidental to such participation (which risks may include, among other things, injuries and broken bones) and, on my own or my child’s behalf, and on behalf of my or my child’s heirs, executors and administrators, release and forever discharge the released parties defined below, of and from all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses of any nature arising out of or in any way connected with my or my child’s participation in such activity, and further agree to indemnify and hold each of the released parties harmless against any and all such liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs or expenses, including, but not limited to, all attorney's fees and disbursements. I understand that this release and indemnity agreement includes any claims based on the negligence, action or inaction of any of the above released parties and covers bodily injury (including death) and property damage, whether suffered by me or my child before, during or after such participation. I declare that I or my child are physically fit, have the skill level required, and am able to participate in this particular event. I further authorize medical treatment for myself or my child, at my cost, if the need arises. I understand that my child or I, as volunteers, are participating in such capacity of our own free will and that no insurance coverage is being provided on my or my child’s behalf. I also understand that my child or I may be required to leave the event site(s) should I or my child exhibit undesirable conduct. I further grant the released parties the right to photograph and/or videotape me or my child and further to use my or my child’s name, face, likeness, voice and appearance in any form of media including, but not limited to exhibitions, television, publicity, advertising and promotional materials without reservation or limitation. I further release the aforementioned parties from any possible injury to my or my child’s personal and community reputation, status or image or any other real or imagined damages arising out of or in connection with the aforementioned. I agree that neither I nor my child shall be compensated in any way for the use of my or my child’s name, face, likeness, voice and appearance in connection the aforementioned. The released parties are, however, under no obligation to exercise said rights herein granted. This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the District of Columbia, and any legal action relating to or arising out of this Agreement shall be commenced exclusively in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia (or if such Circuit Court shall not have jurisdiction over the subject matter thereof, then to such other court having subject matter jurisdiction). I certify I am 18 years of age or older. SONscreen welcomes volunteers ages 15 and older. Every volunteer must complete and sign a separate Release of Liability Form. If you are under 18, please have your parent/guardian complete and sign the Release of Liability Form.
