The SONscreen Film Festival is annually held at AMP Studios facility in Simi Valley, California (101 West Cochran St., Simi Valley, CA 93065). Except every 5 years when SONscreen coincides the SSFF with the Seventh-day Adventist World General Conference Session in honor of our sponsoring organizations international event. Such is the case this year. Therefore this year the 2010 SSFF will not occur in Simi Valley, CA but in Atlanta, GA at the beautiful Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State University. This year will be an even more exciting gathering of student, professional visual storytellers and international attendees who are literally "Changing the World, 24 frames per second". No one should miss the informative workshops, inspiring panels, presentations, and nightly film screenings. This year's General Conference theme "Proclaiming God's Grace" has been incorporated into SONscreen overall theme this year. SONscreen Film Festival VIII is June 26-27, 2010 in Atlanta, GA
The SONscreen Film Festival is the annual gathering for Christian young adults who have a passion for using film and video for the purpose of creating timely and relevant productions for social awareness, outreach, and uplifting creative entertainment. Since its debut in October 2002 , the festival has become the destination for established and up-and-coming Christian filmmakers to share their creative work, gain exposure, and network with other media and film professionals.
SONscreen Showcases
SONscreen Showcases highlight the very best works of the annual festival and bring it to various local venues around North America and the world. These showcases are designed to create grass roots awareness of and support for the SONscreen ministry to benefit filmmakers, film enthusiasts and ultimately, the church at large. The worldwide international SSFF Showcase occurs every five years at the World General Conference Session in various locations around North America.
SONscreen Affiliate Program
The SONscreen Affiliate Program leverages the structure and successes of the annual festival to create regional film showcases that extend SONscreen's reach to conferences, churches, and educational institutions.
