Rajeev's Blog Thought:
Recently, I've been thinking a lot about God speaking to us as human beings. And I wondered who does He speak more to -- Artists or Pastors? Personally, I hear God's voice just as much while watching films, looking at beautiful artwork and hearing amazing music as I do from sitting in a pew at church. Sure, the percentages aren't the same because of the sheer quantity of artwork that exists out there and the differing voices fighting for attention. But if you could somehow add up the total inspiration, I believe God may be communicating more to the modern world through media than anything else. And it may leave a lot more to the viewer and it may be a lot more worldly in its presentation but that does not take away from the divine transaction. And if this declaration is true -- what does this mean for us as artists and how we view our lives and work?
